Respect In Sport - Parent Program
RINGETTE RESPECT IN SPORT FOR PARENTS
All athletes under 18 participating in Ringette must have at least one parent/guardian complete the Respect in Sport for Parents online program.
The Respect in Sport Parent Program is a one-hour online module for parents/guardians, reinforcing their role in their child’s activities, encouraging positive sports behaviours, and providing insight into the various roles other individuals play, such as coaches and officials.
This program empowers parents to:
- Ensure the safety of their children.
- Encourage positive and effective communication.
- Enhance a child’s overall enjoyment of Ringette.
The online course costs $12 and is transferable to other sports involved in Respect in Sport. The course is available online only.
Ideally this should be completed before your child steps on the ice. The final deadline to complete the course and be eligible to participate in ringette activities is 1st November 2024
If you have already completed the program for another sport you do not need to retake it, just enter your certificate number when you register for ringette.
