Hi Everyone,
Today, Ringette Ontario suspended all sanctioned tournaments and league play in Ontario until January 1, 2021. Although disappointing news, it is not a surprise based on the current situation of COVID-19 and the uncertainty of what things will look like in the future. The safety of our athletes, our coaches, and our entire ringette family is paramount and we fully support Ringette Ontario's direction/decision. This obviously affects our tournament which was scheduled for December 11 - 13, 2020 and of course our league play for all teams.
As an Executive, we will be discussing options on how best to proceed based on the new information at our next Executive Meeting. We also have a meeting with WRRA scheduled for next week and future talks with the GLRL and Ringette Ontario so that we are getting the most up-to-date information.
Please know, these are unprecedented times and we are all working through this together. As information becomes available, it will be posted here, on our website. Please bear with us as we try to determine our next steps. We thank all our ringette families for understanding the enormity and complexity of this situation and we do look forward to a successful 2020/2021 season, whatever it looks like!
