Western Region Ringette Association Ringette “Sniper” Driveway Training Program Western Region Ringette is here to support all our athletes during these changing times. We want to ensure that all our future NRL stars can keep enjoying their favourite sport and are ready for the challenge of next season! We are excited to offer a 10-week progressive training program designed to turn players into snipers! This program sets out specific drills that players can work on to improve their shot and shooting accuracy. It was put together with the help of several current and former NRL players and is designed for players U12 and up. This program is available now on the Western Region Ringette Page and can be viewed by http://www.wrra.ca/sportd/sniper/ . On this site is the full program plus at the top of the page is a link to download a 14 page PDF available for printing. Before beginning the program, ensure that you are holding your stick correctly (skinny side up) and that you have set up targets so that you can track your accuracy. If you don’t have access to a shooter tutor, hang bells or markers in the corner of the net. If you don’t have access to a net, tape out an outline on a wall or garage door. If you need help with the program, or have questions about how it works, please reach out to Tania, WRRA Sport Development wrrasport@wrra.ca We look forward to seeing all the great snipers once we all get back on the ice.
