COVID 19 Health Screening

Contact Tracing Protocols (Bench Staff and Players Only)

Pre-Skate Procedure :

All SMRA teams will use the RAMP Team App to register their attendance and health attestation in advance of attending an event. Please complete the health check at least 1 hour prior to the start of your event. Players are presently organized by division. Official team assignment will happen closer to the start of the regular 2021-2022 season.

Managers or designate will have access to those who have completed their health check on the RAMP Team App.

Starting September 22nd please enter the PRC through Entrance B. The town of St.Marys will have a QR Code at the entrance to the PRC that each family is to complete before entering. The QR code is also on our home age, and you can also click here for the visitor screening form for the PRC. Security will be checking for a green checkmark that identifies the screening was done for the PRC and that the date is correct.  One screen form must be completed per household as everyone in the household must be COVID-symptom free to enter. Paper copies of the screening form will be available for people who are unable to use their cell phone. They will need to be filled out and shown to security, and will be kept on file for 30 days for contract tracing.

Also Starting September 22nd, 2021, adults 18 plus will need to be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14 days) and provide their proof of vaccination along with photo ID to access the PRC. Spectators 12 years and older must provide proof of vaccination. Minors (children 12-17 years old) who are participating in ringette may enter the PRC without proof of vaccination until October 31st, 2021. Children who are 11 years old or younger will be exempted from these requirements. If a user has a medical exemption you will need a doctor’s note and must also provide a negative test result that is no older than 48-hours prior to accessing an indoor recreation facility.

Effective October 31, all patrons 12 years of age or older will be required to show proof of vaccination prior to entry, subject to Provincial exemptions.

Facility Protocols

  • Capacity in the stands has been increased to 50% capacity established by Fire Code
    • Rock Rink: 588 people
    • Blue Rink: 206 people
  • Crossover between pads is now allowed provided the number threshold of each pad is not exceeded.
  • Dressing room use will return to normal capacity provided that masks are worn until leaving the dressing room and then put back on upon return to dressing room (see more below)
    • Dressing rooms will continue to be sprayed between uses and that requires a 30 minute window. The result is that in one time block, 2 rooms will be available per pad and in the other time block, 3 rooms will be available
  • Fountains and showers will be available, but the food booth will not necessarily be open;
  • Coaches and bench staff are required to wear a mask on the bench but not on the ice if social distancing can be maintained.
  • If all players are masked in the dressing rooms, prior to putting on helmets and going to ice (and masks are immediately put on once back in the dressing room), dressing room capacity increases to the full team with no social distancing. If even one person chooses not to wear a mask, we are back to a cap of 8 players and social distancing. Players can access the PRC 30 minutes before ice and dressing rooms 15 minutes before ice times. They must exit dressing rooms 15 minutes after their event to allow time for cleaning.
